It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas Michael Lynch, who left us on March 15, 2026, at the young age of 34. Nick was born on August 22, 1991, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and had made his home in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He was a dedicated brake press operator in the manufacturing industry, where his work ethic and commitment were admired by many.
Nick was a devoted soul mate to Tanya Byrne and a loving father to his sons, Michael and Sawyer Lynch, as well as his stepson, Ralph Larsen. He cherished his family deeply, always wanting what was best for them and took pride in strengthening the bonds he had with his sons.
He is further survived by his beloved mother, Christine Metz, and his stepfather, Eric Metz. Nick also leaves behind his sisters, Elizabeth (Nathan) Gardner and Deanna Metz, a brother, Zach Metz, and his nephew, Takoda Gardner. Nick will always be remembered by his grandparents, Michael Lynch and Diana (Rick) Loberg, aunt, Becky (James Lattery) Toivonen, in-laws, Kimberly and Mitchell Byrne, Michelle (Tony Ruhnau) Byrne, nephew, Bennett Ruhnau, along with a loving extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will miss his relentless work ethic and a stubborn, protective spirit.
Nick’s family is planning a celebration of his life, where friends and loved ones will gather to share stories, laughter, and cherished memories. Details of the ceremony will follow, and we invite everyone who knew Nick to honor his spirit and celebrate the person he was.
In the spirit of Nick’s life, we remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for the time we shared. We will remember him for his strength, his grit, and the unapologetic protectiveness he had for his family.
Rest in peace, Nick. Your legacy of love and protectiveness will forever be in our hearts.
