Thomas Wayne Soderberg, born on December 24, 1942, in Amery, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, at the age of 83. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, residing in River Falls, Wisconsin.

Thomas was the cherished husband of Arlene, with whom he shared almost 61 years of a loving marriage filled with many memorable moments. He was a devoted father to his son, Robert(Dawn) and his two daughters, Julie(Chris) and Michele. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren Skylar, Zachary, and Madelyn always eager to participate in their lives and activities.

In his professional life, Thomas worked as a receiving clerk in the manufacturing industry, where he was known for his hard work, reliability and dedication. His passion for community and connection extended beyond his work; he was actively involved in coaching youth sports and volunteering in various capacities. His enthusiasm for softball and bowling was well-known among friends and family.

A true sports enthusiast, Thomas was an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, rarely missing a game and always ready to cheer for his teams. He took pride in maintaining a beautiful yard, often spending sunny days outside with his dogs.

Thomas was an active member of his church at Ezekiel Lutheran where he found community and purpose. His generosity and willingness to help others will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Thomas Wayne Soderberg leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his contributions to his family and community.

Thomas was preceded in death by parents Emil and Mabel, and siblings Earl and Opal.

A Celebration of Tom’s Life was held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1 pm at Ezekiel Lutheran Church 202 S 2nd Street River Falls, WI. Visitation was also on Saturday from 12 – 1 pm at the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
