Donnie Conklin 11/21/2012

Donnie “Pete” Eugene Conklin age 51 of River Falls, WI passed away after battling cancer since 2009 on November 21, 2012 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  He was born the son of Melvin and Margie (Dubey) Conklin on January 21, 1961 in Owatonna, MN.  Donnie grew up in Pine City, MN and lived at the Pine City Mission Creek Boy’s Ranch from 1974-1978.  After leaving the Boy’s Ranch he joined the National Guard in a reserve unit out of Pine City.  He attended Pine Technical College studying machine tool and technology.  Donnie was self employed as an auto mechanic in Somerset, WI and moved to River Falls, WI in 2008.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Conklin.  Donnie will be missed by his children, Melissa (Justin) Ponto of Ogilvie, MN, Alicia (Josh) Nelson of St. Francis, MN, Frances (Daren) Nelson of Braham, MN; grandchildren, Dakota, Dominic, and Dallas; siblings, Dawn Conklin of Rush City, MN, Clem and Oscar Conklin of Bemidji, MN, Bud (Maria) Conklin of Princeton, MN and father, Melvin Conklin of Pine City, MN.  A celebration of Donnie’s life will be held at a later date, any inquiries can be made to Alicia at amartens_09@hotmail.com.  Cremation services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
