William Peirson 03/31/2019

William T. “Bill” Peirson, a lifelong resident of New Richmond, passed away at 87, on Sunday, March 31st, at home from complications from COPD. He was born to Ted and Emma Peirson on February 10, 1932. He was baptized and confirmed at New Richmond United Methodist Church. A graduate of NRHS Class of 1949 and Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. His entire working career was in the electrical trade, specializing in commercial and industrial wiring. He was the house electrician for Friday Canning Corporation and St. Croix Press.  Preceding him in death were his parents Ted & Emma Peirson, infant Daughter Sandra, Brothers Frank, Cal, and Bob (Harmon), John, Charles, Jim and Sisters Helen, Joann and Sally (Peirson), Mother and Father-In-Law Oscar and Mae Risberg.  He was number 10 of 10 children growing up on First Street in New Richmond. His humor, infectious laugh, smile, wit, knowledge and love of family and friends will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Beverly of 64 years, Best Friend and Son Jim (Bev) of New Richmond, Daughter Patti (John) Slavin of Seattle, WA, Grandchildren Katie Peirson Thomas (Jerome), Kari Peirson Rasmussen (Seth), Jay (Britney) Slavin and Laura Slavin Greisen (Josh) and Great Grandchildren Kayden & Jordan Thomas, Zoe Rose Slavin, Aspen Greisen, along with his loyal cronies at the New Richmond Airport.  A Memorial service was 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at New Richmond United Methodist Church with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to Lakeview Hospice, New Richmond United Methodist Church or New Richmond Heritage Center.  The family would like to especially thank Pastor Jeremy Deaner and Maybelle Hall along with Lakeview Hospice. We are sincerely grateful. . .  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
