William “Bill” Donahue 02/24/2025

William “Bill” Donahue, age 72, of New Richmond, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the St. Croix Health Center.

Bill was born on September 25th, 1952, to William (Bill) and Kathleen (Kaddy) Donahue in New Richmond, WI.  Although Bill lived almost exclusively in the New Richmond area his entire life, all that knew him understood that he felt most “at home” behind the wheel of his Peterbilt.  Many friends and family had the privilege of riding shotgun with Bill as he made his way back and forth across the country for the vast majority of his adult life.  Some of his most faithful co-pilots were his boys, Patrick, Kelly, Nick and Cullen.  When not on the road the boys would often see the “Pete” parked near the school, with Bill cheering them on from the stands.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents William (Bill) and Kathleen (Kaddy) Donahue.  He is survived by his sister Patricia (Gerald) Boettcher, his sons Patrick (Vickie), Kelly (Laura), Nick and Cullen (Brianna), granddaughters Isla, Shay, Everly, Hadley, Oakley, Gabby and Bailey, and many more cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill’s family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers and friends at Orchard View Terrace for providing such a loving environment for the final few years of his life.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (151 S Washington Ave) in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Bill’s service will be live streamed by the following link.
