Warren L. Bader 09/29/2020

Warren L. Bader, age 87 of Boardman, WI, died on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Warren was born the son of Alfred and Ruth (Evenson) Bader on November 17, 1932 in the Town of Richmond, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Warren grew up in Boardman and graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1950. He went to work for his father at Bader Truck Line. Warren served his country in the Army. He met his future wife, Shirley Mork in 1957 and they were married on September 5, 1958 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Warren and Shirley purchased Bader Truck Line from his parents in 1958 and operated the business until the 1990’s. Warren served as the Town Constable for the Town of Richmond and as Town Chairman for over 40 years retiring in 2009. He also served on the Ambulance Committee in New Richmond. Warren was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and VFW Post 10818. He loved watching his girls play softball, his sons play football, and follow all of his grandchildren in their sporting activities. Each year the entire family would gather at Jellystone Park in Warren, WI for the 4th of July. Warren loved to visit with anyone, travel, or just sit and watch the traffic. He was an honest, hard working man, he loved his family, and was an excellent male role model to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruth Bader; granddaughter, Alicia Bader; and brothers, Eldon Bader, Ralph Bader, Harold (Josephine) Bader, and Richard Bader. Warren is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Bader; children, Diane (Sam) Thompson, Lori (Dennis) Lackey, Bruce (Tracy) Bader, Kendra Bader, Jenni (Larry) Blietz, Jeff Bader; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Shirley Bader, Darlene Bader, Ilene Bader; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 2 pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church 365 W River Drive New Richmond, WI. The service was live streamed through a link located on this page. Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 3-7 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI and on Sunday from 1-2 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Boardman Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Warren Bader was my grandpas neighbor for years and he will be missed RIP!!!
    I whould go vist him and we whould watch them chop corn

    I will always remember getting to ride with Warren to South St Paul to the stockyards with a load of our animals.
    Warren was a great friend of my fathers and a very great supporter of the St Croix county fair.
    He was liked by everyone and will be missed.
