Wallace J. Harvey age 94 of Elmwood, WI, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Red Cedar in Menomonie, WI. Wallace was born the son of Elmer and Elsie (Arndt) Harvey in the town of Union, Pierce County, Wisconsin. Wallace was married to Rose Mary Schutz in 1953. They had 4 sons, and later divorced. Wallace farmed, owned and operated a salvage yard, worked at the Rock Elm town landfill, and dug graves for over 5o years. He married Nelda (Stokes) Sparr on August 18, 1979. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Wallace was a hard working provider, who was caring and loved to visit with people he met. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Elsie Harvey; and brothers, Archie and Milo Harvey. Wallace is survived by his wife, Nelda Harvey; sons, James Harvey, Kenny (Charlotte) Harvey, Keith (Shelly) Harvey, Jack (Brenda) Harvey; step-children, Charles Sparr, Douglas (Sheila) Sparr, Robin (Rick) Davis, Larry Spar; grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Kern, Christina (Gary) Tuenge, Lara (Patrick) Jaeger, Tiffany (Andy) Knudsen; step-grandchildren, Tabatha (David) Jacobs, Inga Joe Sparr, Daniel Sparr, Amanda (Preston) Briggs, Darrell (Kristina) Davis, Enid Phillips, Amber Rae Sparr, Zach Sparr; and several great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Wallace’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 1-5 pm at the Elmwood Rod and Gun Club N6433 State Road 72, Elmwood, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock.
