Violet Kimball 12/28/2018

Violet M. Kimball age 95 of River Falls died Friday, December 28, 2018 at WellHaven Senior Living. She was born the daughter of Clarence and Selma (Tweiten) Holty on May 3, 1923 in Caledonia, MN. After graduation from high school and secretarial school, she met and married Edward Kimball on July 20, 1946. Together, as pastor and wife, they served churches in North Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Nebraska, finally settling in River Falls for retirement. Vi loved being a pastor’s wife and took great pleasure in using her gift of hospitality and her excellent cooking skills to serve her Lord. She loved Jesus with all her heart and passed that love along to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she prayed for daily. She is survived by her children, Mark (Susan) Kimball, Philip Kimball, Cynthia (Doug) Thiesen, Daniel (Pam) Kimball, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law Cheryl (Phil) Kimball and siblings. A memorial service was held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at First Covenant Church in River Falls. Visitation was also held Saturday from 12-2 pm at the church. Private interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
