Vincent Alan VonWalter, age 51 of New Richmond, WI, died unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 5, 2020. Vince was born the son of Thomas and Christine VonWalter on December 29, 1968 in Cocoa Beach, FL. He grew up in Maplewood, MN, graduating from N St. Paul High School with the class of 1987. On May 4, 1996, Vince was married to Joanne Morrissette at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. They moved to New Richmond, WI in 2000. Vince spent 20 years as the overnight stock manager for Rainbow Foods. While working, Vince completed his small engine repair degree. Locally he was known as “the lawnmower man”. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the cabin, drive-in movies, home cooked meals, and football, especially the Packers. Vince was a simple, quiet man who was a loyal friend and wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughters, Samantha (Viek Chai), Melissa (Peter); grandson, Ronin; parents, Thomas and Christine; siblings, Denise, Amanda (Mathew), Adam (Nicole); and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Vince’s Life was held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 5 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI. Visitation was also Friday from 3-5 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
