Victoria Dorothy Fredrickson, age 76 of New Richmond, died on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Comforts of Home in Hudson, WI.  Vicky was born on December 6, 1938 the daughter of Norman and Georgia (Leary) Hawkins in Amery, WI.  She attended country school until eighth grade and graduated from Clear Lake High School with the class of 1957.  On September 13, 1958, she married Wayne Fredrickson at the East Lincoln EUB Church in rural Amery.  Vicky worked at Friday Canning before attending WITC to become a Home Health Aide in 1985.  She worked for St. Croix County and others, eventually working for herself.  She retired in 2010.  Vicky was a member of the New Richmond United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and being a grandma.  Vicky and Wayne loved to attend County Fairs, attending the Polk County fair for 53 consecutive years.  Vicky was a strong and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.  She is preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Angelina; and brother-in-law, Roger Peterson.  She is survived by her husband, Wayne Fredrickson; children, Kimberly (Joe) Christofore and Kirk (Diane Martin) Fredrickson; grandchildren, Regina (Chris) McGrew, Joe Christofore, Jr., Derrick (Melissa) Fredrickson, Dustin Fredrickson, Kristal Fredrickson, Kayla Forrest, Chris Frink, Lakeisha (T.J. Blue) Martin, Mikey (Kayla Baron) Martin; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Joe III, Alison, Logan, Abigail, Kyler, Javiah, Alyiah, Dakota, Brysa, and Raylynn; siblings, Ralph Hawkins, Vinita (Don) Essen, LaVern (Mary Lou) Hawkins, Darlene (Daryl) Emerson, Bonnie (Martin) Schwan, Bette Peterson, Norman (Anne) Hawkins, Dianne (Art) Seeger; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 12 pm at the New Richmond United Methodist Church.  Memorial Visitation was also Saturday from 10am – 12pm at the church.  Interment was in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the New Richmond United Methodist Church.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
