
Vera Hope Wulf (Cook), age 91, passed away peacefully at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond on November 27, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lena Cook (Schiefelbein); former husband, Richard Wulf; daughter, Maureen Stock (Gary); son, Charles Wulf (Maggie); grandson, Shawn Woolley; siblings, Myrtle Fisher, Minnie Larson, Bernie Singerhouse, Lois Hinz, Jimmy Cook, Pete Cook and Jerry Cook.
Vera is survived by her children, Connie Glassford, Lawrence Wulf, Elizabeth Woolley, Thomas Wulf (Christi), Lorrie Thomas (Randy); siblings, Rita Haines, Gladys Knight, Jeanette Fletch and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Vera was born on November 18, 1927 in Somerset, Wisconsin. She grew up in Deer Park area and attended high school in New Richmond. She lived for many years near Horse Creek while raising a family of seven kids before moving to Osceola and later to the Health Center in New Richmond after dementia began to challenge her past her limits.
Vera worked many years for and with Rohn Enngh in the photography business. She enjoyed gardening, praying the rosary, as well as, making rosaries and she especially loved babies and was a strong pro-life advocate. Vera was known as a Prayer Warrior by her friends and family. She did much volunteer work including working at her church, the Pregnancy Crisis Center, and she regularly visited sick and elderly persons throughout the Osceola community. Vera loved life, she loved people and she especially loved our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday December 1, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond. Visitation will be held for one and a half hours prior to Mass at the church.
