Tom L. Larson 11/01/2013

Tom Larson age 69 of Star Prairie passed away at his home on Friday, November 1, 2013 after a brave and short battle with cancer.  He was born September 11, 1944 to Axel and Josephine Larson in New Richmond.  Tom graduated from New Richmond High School.  Just before his service in the U.S. Army, he married Mary Lee on June 3, 1967.  Tom spent many years working at Jor-Gas and the New Richmond School District.  In retirement, he enjoyed working at the Friendly Bar and Grill.  Tom also loved to golf, garden & kept a yard that was admired by many.  He especially loved the companionship of his dog, Tinker.  Tom will be missed by his wife, Mary; siblings, Vernon “Butch” (Marion) Larson of Balsam Lake, Barb Thorton of Louisiana, Douglas “Super” (Mary Ann) Larson of Amery; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Janet (Joe) Miller, David (Debbie) Lee, Mona (Brent) Arneson; best friend, Tinker; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Josephine; step-father, Bill Kuehl; siblings, Marie Mackey, Bernice Bailey, Axel Larson, Anna Mae Larson, Robert Larson, Allen Larson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willard and Elizabeth Lee and other in-laws, Jimmy Lee, Libby Lee, and Steven Lee.  A funeral service was held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Monday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
