Thomas Parent 07/08/2019

Thomas M. Parent, age 55, of New Richmond died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.  Tommy was born the son of William and Sandra (Moulton) Parent on July 29, 1963 at Holy Family Hospital in New Richmond WI.  He graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1981.  Tommy worked at Friday Canning and Philips Plastic before becoming an over the road truck driver for Schneider.  He was an avid Viking fan, enjoyed family get togethers and venting on Facebook.  Tommy loved his Basset Hound, Megan and his sister’s labs, Sophia and Olivia.  He was soft-spoken, pleasant and friendly and was always willing to help someone out.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sandra Parent.  Tommy is survived by his siblings, Tim Parent, Tammy (Tom) Revord, Candice Parent, Chris Parent; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Revord, Alexandra Parent, Thomas Revord (god-son), Taylor Parent (god-daughter); and many other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Tommy’s Life was held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 2-7 pm with memory sharing   at 6:30 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI.  Interment was in the New Richmond Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
