In loving memory of Thomas Roy Malchow who passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2026, at the age of 89.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years MarJean Malchow, and his parents, Roy and Ruth Malchow.
Tom is survived by his brother, Dave and Beth Malchow; his 4 children, Kim and Mark Guinan, Mark and Laurie Malchow, Craig and Debbra Malchow, and Paul and Anita Malchow. He additionally has 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons.
Tom brought a competitive spirit to everything he did with a great work ethic along with honesty, integrity, laughter and compassion.
Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling with MarJean, including many drives to visit family, OR take a 2 hour spin to a favorite Dairy Queen. They also traveled to Africa, Europe and enjoyed many cruises. Tom and MarJean were also very involved in the Church their entire married life.
He loved sports and was an avid participant and fan. Tom was a Neenah Rocket in high school, lettering in football, baseball basketball, track, and tennis.
In college at Oshkosh, he was the quarterback, point guard, and won the Wisconsin State singles tennis championship. Continuing on with his 4 children he coached, watched, and played many sports and was still golfing until a few years ago. It was not uncommon to see him at the boat launch, at a ball game, or playing any card game with friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 12 noon at Trinity Lutheran Church West Campus 1205 6th Street Hudson, WI. Visitation will also be Saturday from 11am – 12 pm at the church. Interment will be in Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
