Thelma Senechal 10/31/2018

Thelma Senechal passed away peacefully on Halloween evening, Oct 31st. She was born January 30, 1919, 99 years and 9 months ago. Thelma was preceded in death by husband Walter, and parents Clara and Henry Spielman.  She is survived by her children, Sandra Luedke (Gayland), Alan Senechal, (Joyce), five grandchildren, Adam Luedke, Dan Luedke (Melissa), Nathan Luedke (Jennifer), Jason Senechal, and Jill Senechal. Also three step grandchildren, Alex Randall, Kelly Randall, and Megan Randall. She delighted in four great grandchildren, Drew Luedke, Cooper Luedke, Elliott Luedke, and Esri Luedke.  Thelma was organist at Trinity Lutheran Church during most of her long membership there. She also served as organist at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hudson. Thelma worked in the business office at  Hudson Hospital for at least 25 years. She also volunteered for many years at the hospital gift shop. Many of us knew her for her beautiful sewing. She made cabbage patch dolls, many creative decorations and clothing. The detail in her sewing was amazing.  We celebrated her life on Sat. Nov. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1205 6th Street in Hudson. The funeral was at 2pm and visitation was one hour before the service. Interment was in Willow River Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
