Terry Louise Smith, born on April 5, 1955, in New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at her home in River Falls, Wisconsin. Terry leaves behind her brother Thomas Smith (Jean), sisters Jan Lewinski (Joe) and Mary Claire Smith and a niece and three nephews.

Her happiest moments were spent engaged in activities that brought her closer to her family. Whether it was playing cards with her mother and aunt or piecing together jigsaw puzzles with her dad-continuing the tradition even after his passing-Terry found great happiness in her family connections.

Terry cheered on her favorite sports teams, including the Green Bay Packers, as well as tennis and golf. Many fond memories were made watching professional wrestling, alongside her father, as they both admired the legendary Crusher. Terry celebrated many of her birthdays with trips to the casino, where she consistently returned with winnings.

Terry was a familiar face at Family Fresh where she worked. She was a happy person and had a smile for all she met. She was a cherished sister and her memory will be honored through a private graveside service in May.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents Guy Smith and Lois Smith.  Cremation was provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

I grew up across the alley from Terry and we had lots of fun. Every time I would see her it was with a big smile, she was a very sweet person and will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences to her family.

So sorry to hear this when Steve and I saw you the other day. We loved seeing your sister at family dress. She always talked to us and had the biggest smile. She was also a very hard worker I saw that every time I was in. God bless you all and so sorry for your loss.Barb and Steve Nelson.🙏❤️

I am sorry to hear of your passing. I will think of you every time I see geese on the roof of the library! I am glad we were friends.
