Terry Young McDermott, age 83, of New Richmond, WI, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2026. He was born on September 18, 1942, in New London, WI.
Terry proudly served in the Army National Guard for a short time before embarking on a fulfilling career at Ford Motors, where he dedicated many years of his life. Outside of work, Terry had a passion for craftsmanship, spending around 50 years as a skilled gunsmith. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies—he enjoyed countless hours hunting and fishing, making wonderful memories along the way.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his son, Scott; and his sister, Alana Langner. He is preceded in death by his son, Rod, as well as his parents, parents-in-law, and several siblings-in-law.
In accordance with Terry’s wishes, no formal services will be held. His family invites friends to remember him in their own way, cherishing the moments and memories they shared with him. Terry’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
