Sue was a wonderfully gracious lady who, along with her husband Bill, welcomed Karen, Kurt and me to the River Falls United Methodist Church.l in 1975. They became dear friends and their hospitality continued when invited to their home for legendary dinners. Sue was a bit of a throwback in that she eschewed texting or computer e-mail. She instead, in “old world” elegant script, wrote letters/notes to her friends/family. She was a classy woman who quietly set the bar high for herself and others. Friendship with Sue was a privilege. I shall miss her laughter, her wry sense of humor and her faithful annual acknowledgement that I was another year older.
