Steve Allers 03/21/2015

Steven J Allers, passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer, on Saturday, March 21, 2015, surrounded by his partner Ellen and his family. Survived by parents, Dick and Helen Allers; children, Chad Allers and Kelly (Jeremy) Gess; grandchildren, Madelyn, Jaden and Tanner Gess; sisters, Debra (Larry) Brown and Lorrie Adams (John); special friends Ellen and Kyle Ensign; and nieces, nephews, great niece and nephew, and many cherished friends.
Steve was born and raised in New Richmond and graduated from New Richmond High School in 1970.  He lived in many states over the years and returned to New Richmond in the mid 1990s. He was a very skilled professional plumber. He had a great eye for design and learned construction skills throughout the years. He was not afraid to take on any project – for himself or a friend.
He was able to retire and enjoy the loves of his life – spending time with his family and getting to know his children again, getting together with friends, golf, Green Bay Packers (especially his once-a-year Packer game with his special friends), and of course his Miller Lite! His favorite saying and life moto – I’m just trying to have a little fun!
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 4 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel. Visitation was also Tuesday from 1 to 4 pm at the funeral home.  Immediately following, please join the Allers family for a toast and lunch at Champs Bar and Grill. Bring your stories to share.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
