Stephen Beauvais 11/30/2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Charles Beauvais, known to many simply as Little Stevie, who left us on November 30, 2025. Born on March 1, 1955, in New Richmond, WI, and raised in Somerset, Steve made a lasting impact on everyone who crossed his path.

Steve graduated from Somerset High School and went on to become the proud owner/operator of Steve’s Autobody and small engine repair, where his love for all things mechanical shone through. He took great joy in working with his hands, whether it was fixing things, building projects, or creating something new. In his downtime, you could find him enjoying nature—fishing, deer hunting, and camping with family were among his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his children, Sabrina (Brad) Meyer, Aaron (Cassie) Beauvais and Kaitlyn Beauvais, and darling granddaughters, Isabella Beauvais (fiancé Parker Snider) and Ilyssa Beauvais. He will be sorely missed by his sisters, Sandy Klossner, Becky (Bill) Schalla, and Laurie (Steve) Forrest, as well as his former wife, Susie Beauvais, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives.

Steve will be remembered for his big heart and the warmth he brought to those around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Irene (Tobias) Beauvais; brothers, David Beauvais and Doug (Mary) Beauvais; and his grandson, Alexander Meyer.

A service celebrating Steve’s life was held on Friday, December 12, 2025 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, located at 141 Church Hill Road in Somerset, WI. There was visitation one hour prior to the service.  A spring interment will take place at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Steve will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

My heart feels your pain of losing your brother Steve. I remember when you all came over on the farm to visit and have fun. I thought Steve was so handsome. I remember he tried to built a diving board for us to jump off into the lake with. He thought packing mud around and on top of it and let it dry would somehow act like cement and hold the board down. Ah Not. We had fun trying though. This is tough stuff. Love to you all

We extend our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. As we reflect on the past, we are reminded of the many fun times we shared together, particularly while working on cars in the homestead garage.
One of the most memorable experiences was working on the lime green ’57 Chevy with the striking black lace top. That car was truly one of a kind, and it left an impression not only on us, but also on others—especially the Stillwater lift bridge tender, who surely never forgot seeing that Chevy cross the bridge.
During a road trip back from Stillwater, we faced an unexpected challenge when the ’57 Chevy broke down on the bridge right at rush hour and just before lift time. The culprit appeared to be a faulty welding job on the home-made rear end lift kit. The situation was so remarkable that it felt like a true “I wish I would have had a movie camera” moment, capturing the spirit of our adventures and ingenuity.

I remember the times and fun we had while riding our motorcycles on the back trails we made, and some of the trouble we managed to get into. Steve will be greatly missed, and remembered as a true friend.

I’m so sorry for your loss Sabrina. I remember hanging out at the bar when we would visit. We were just kids and had fun running around together. This was hen they lived upstairs above the bar so we were quite young. I’ll always have fond memories of Stevie. Prayer to all the Beauvais family.

Steve was my classmate. Lockers were assigned in alphabetical order, so Steve’s was always next to mine. He had such a delightful Spirit and big Heart. Such a Blessing! Wishing His Family Grace as they navigate their loss 🙏
