Shirley worked at New Richmond Industries as a secretary treasurer for many years. After retirement, she and Tom assisted at the Cullen-Hegstrom-Crea Funeral Home bringing compassion and support to countless families in the community over the years.
Shirley was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend. Everything Shirley did, she did with God at the center of her life. Tom & Shirley spent about 20 years actively helping at Koinonia retreats, which brought people closer to God and their faith. She had many God-given talents which she used to spread love and joy to all. She would sew all kinds of items for donors at the American Red Cross blood drive where she worked countless hours and made beautiful jean/fleece blankets for fundraisers that helped anyone in need! If a family member was ill, you could be sure Shirley would show up with buttermilk soup and a sweet treat to make them feel better! Shirley baked up a storm for Christmas and made every holiday special with her extra touches. She devoted countless volunteer hours to her church and community. She loved to travel with Tom, bowl with her bowling ladies, play Bingo with friends, watch the Packers & Twins, but most of all, dote on her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her special prayer partners over the years.
Shirley has touched many people in her lifetime and we thank God for the legacy she has left us all to carry on in her beautiful name.
Rest in peace, our dear, precious Shirley!
