Shirley Borchers 01/14/2014

Shirley Borchers, age 81 of River Falls, WI, died peacefully at home with her husband John at her side.  Survived by sister, Janice; brother, Roger; daughter, Chris; son, Alex; loving husband John; nieces, Pat & Susan.  Preceded in death by mother, Berenice (Frase) Nelson; father, Harold J Nelson; brother, Harold Nelson Jr.  She chaired many republican candidates for office, and was seated with both the County & State at the Minnesota Republican Convention.  She performed civil defense work for Bloomington Rescue & Schools for 12 years.  Her last job was with Apostolic Publishing in Advertising Sales, leaving many great friends.  Her Love of gardening and flowers brightened all our lives.  We will miss you!  A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 3 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls.  Visitation was also Tuesday from 1-3 pm.  Spring Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
