Sharon Louise Lund, age 86, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Woodland Hills in Hudson, Wisconsin. She was born September 27, 1936, to C. Wayne and Judith Overholser in Hamburg, Iowa. Sharon is survived by her children, Robert (Carla) Cox and Rebecca (Paul) Link; grandchildren, Katharine (William) Jahn, Emily (Steve) Brown, Kevin Link, Charles Link and David (Dana) Link; and great grandchildren, Madeline and Sophia. She is preceded by her parents; husband Charles; and sister Judith Fredrickson. A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00AM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division Street) River Falls, Wisconsin, with visitation starting at 10:00AM. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

I knew your mom from Woodland Hill where my parents were also residents. “Mrs. Lund” was the first person my husband and I met when we were considering a new community for my parents. Mrs. Lund was the unofficial greeter, and part of why we chose to move my parents there. Sharon always had a kind word and positive outlook which I always appreciated. You could always be assured she would be in the lobby when the pups were visiting, or actually at any social event. I am sure she is missed in your family’s heart and definitely on the hilltop in Hudson. I wanted to comment here that she touched and brightened another family’s life while we were part of the WH family.
