Shara Lindstrom 12/01/2018

Shara Elaine (Fredrick) Lindstrom, 38, of Houlton, WI, passed away in her childhood home on Saturday, December 1, 2018 as a result of a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was the much loved wife of Charlie Lindstrom and cherished mother of Colton, Jaxon, and Henry.  Shara was born August 1, 1980, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Neil and Jan Fredrick and grew up in Houlton, Wisconsin. Shara graduated from Winona State University in 2004 as a Registered Nurse. After a few years in other nursing roles, Shara obtained her dream job at Hudson Hospital and Clinic becoming a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Just prior to her diagnosis, Shara celebrated 10 years there and throughout those years developed countless friendships. On September 8, 2007 she was united in marriage to Charlie Lindstrom. Their marriage was blessed with three beautiful boys, twins Colton and Jaxon in 2009 and Henry in 2014.  Shara was an incredible wife and mother who was most proud of her family and her active, full of life boys. She loved connecting with family and friends and going on adventures. Shara is survived by her husband Charlie; her three boys Colton, Jaxon and Henry; parents Neil and Jan Fredrick; sister and brother-in-law Beth and Branden and nephews Cade and Will McDonald; cousins Kristen (John) Novak, Dr. Karrin Stoehr (Richard) Graves; mother-in-law and step- father-in-law Sue and Bruce Ketchum; and father-in-law Randy Lindstrom; step-brother-in-law Alex (Heather) Ketchum; and other aunts, uncles, cousins, and close cherished friends.  She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; Walter and Olga Brolin and Raymond and Millie Fredrick; uncle and aunt, Roger and Lois Stoehr; uncle, Raymond (Shirley) Fredrick; aunt, Willetta (Ken) Durand; and brother-in-law, Justin Lindstrom.  Bakken Young Funeral Home, 502 3rd Street, Hudson, Wisconsin, is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Visitation services were held Wednesday, December 5 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the chapel at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1205 6th Street Hudson, Wisconsin. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with a one hour visitation prior. There was a private interment.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for an education fund for Shara and Charlie’s boys. Donations may be made directly to Edward Jones Investments, noting in the memo section “Colton and Jaxon Lindstrom”.

    I did not know Shara but graduated with Beth and Brandon. I am so very sorry to hear of Shara’s passing at such a young age. I pray that the memories you all share of her bring you comfort during this difficult time. Much love and prayers.
