Marlo Stanley Fritz, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 67, at his home in Baldwin, WI. Born on July 21, 1958, in Amery, Wisconsin, Marlo spent his life in the New Richmond/Baldwin WI area.

Marlo was very proud of the time he served in the Army- National Guard from Aug. 1976- March 1979. Marlo thoroughly enjoyed his 30 + years of driving over the road, getting to see new places, and would even take Lori with him on some trips. Marlo was very close to his two trucking buddies, Kenny and Brad, and they became known as “the three amigos”.

Marlo loved racing at Cedar Lake Speedway and spent lots of time working on his car with his wife Lori, his buddy Jeff and sons, and many friends. Marlo enjoyed participating in reenactments/rendezvous throughout MN with friends and family, shooting off cannon’s and rebuilding and shooting black powder rifles. Marlo was known as “Uncle Cornelious” by his nephews Jeb, Jeremy, and Josh and their families. It was something that he held near and dear to his heart. Marlo enjoyed deer hunting and hosting “deer camp” at their house, while spending time with his hunting buddies. Marlo loved getting out of the house to play bingo at many different places; it was often the highlight of his week, especially music bingo. Marlo shared his love of music with Lori, as they often followed many bands around the area. Marlo had the gift of gabbing and was always making new friends wherever he went. It would never be a surprise to Lori or friends if Marlo came back to the table with a random baby he met. Marlo loved babies and little children, often earning the nickname “Uncle Marshmallow or Grandpa Marlo”. Marlo enjoyed helping with the meat raffles for the Star Prairie Queen and Princess Program with his wife Lori.

Marlo was always adding to his family by creating his own “bonus family”. Friends and family meant the world to him, as he had the biggest heart of gold and would do anything for those he loved. Marlo held a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially his dog Lambeau and grand-cat Chloe, and would often try to bring home additional animals. Marlo’s pride and joy was his son, Kyle. Marlo cherished all the wonderful times and memories he created with his son over the years.

Marlo is survived by his loving wife, Lori Pichla-Fritz, mother Marica Heinbuch, son Kyle Fritz, stepdaughter Mandy (Mathew) Rood, stepson Bob Pichla, stepson Joe (Allie Newman) Pichla, his step-grandchildren: Katie, Destiny, Serina, Creed, Brett, Cayden, Abbie, and Carsyn. He’s further survived by his brother Tom Schnitzler, stepbrother David (Ronda) Heinbuch, half-brother Travis Fritz, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, his “bonus family” and friends.

Marlo was preceded in death by his father Melvin Fritz, stepfather Allen Heinbuch, infant brother Mark Fritz, sisters Kim Norlander, Karen Magler, and Heidi Boardman, Uncle Marvin Heinbuch, and his grandparents.

A Celebration of Marlo’s Life will take place on April 12, 2026, from 1-4PM, with memory sharing at 3:30pm at Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Ave New Richmond. While we mourn his passing, we celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the love he shared with everyone around him. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
