William “Bill” Reed, age 85 of River Falls, WI, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Kinnic Health & Rehab in River Falls.  Bill was born the son of Dean and Frances (Wills) Reed on May 15, 1940 in Oregon.  He grew up there and following high school, joined the Army.  Bill followed in his father’s footsteps and became an over the road truck driver.  He met Betty Rustad at a dance class in the twin cities, and the couple spent the past 40 years together.  Bill enjoyed  hunting, going to cabin, watching “Westerns”, and cheering on the Packers.  He was a quiet, kind, hardworking man.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Frances Reed; daughter, Liberty; son Bryan Bjornson; and brothers, Bob and Greg.  Bill is survived by the love of his life, Betty Rustad; children, Jim Bjornson, Greg (Aimee) Bjornson, Penny Douglas; grandson, Brady Kittleson; great-grandchildren, Kodie and Kade; and many other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Bill’s Life was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 2-5 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 805 E Division Street River Falls, WI.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
