Sandra (Sandy) Marie Kuhn, age 71 of New Richmond, WI passed away Thursday, April 27 2023 surrounded by family. She was born the daughter of Leonard and Clara (Jasowiak) Laxen on March 10, 1952 in Glencoe, MN. While in high school, Sandy worked as a CNA until she married and started a family. After having her first child, she became a stay at home mom while taking in a few daycare children. After her children were grown, she continued to care for her family by watching her grandchildren. Family was everything to Sandy. Hosting holidays and family gatherings were things she treasured. Her family remembers her as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an amazing cook and inherited her father’s sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her husband, John Kuhn; children, Wayne (Michelle) Kuhn, Kristina (Lee) Anderson, Andrea (Benjamin) Pitchford; grandchildren, Hailey (Steven), Hunter, Cody (Heather), Taylor, Brittany, Cassie, Breauna, and Riley; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Evelyn, Veda, Avery, Carter, Miley Sue, Lachlan, Silesia, Liliana, Raistlin, and Mathew; siblings, Lenny (Rhonda) Laxen, Nancy Nelson, Paul (Mary) Laxen, Tim Laxen, Bill (Kolleen) Laxen, and Patty Laxen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Clara Laxen, and her sister Sharon. A celebration of Sandy’s life was held on Friday May 12, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave) New Richmond. Visitation was on Friday one hour before the service. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
