Sally Vissers 02/04/2025

April 2, 1960 – February 4, 2025

Sally Vissers was a kind, hard-working, fun-loving woman, and a loving and supportive mother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying annual camping trips to northern Wisconsin with her siblings, nieces, nephews and children. She also enjoyed adventures around the country and the globe.

Born in the frozen tundra of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Sally spent the past several winters enjoying the warmth of Arizona.

After graduating from West De Pere High School in 1978, she moved to River Falls, Wisconsin and attended college at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in biology.

Sally was easy-going and made friends wherever she went. She was beloved by many.

Several years after graduating college, she fell in love with a dairy farmer and together they started a family. She maintained a home in the country, raising two kids while working a fulfilling career as an Administrator of Metropolitan Pediatrics in Edina, Minnesota.

Her career spanned three decades where she was part of the clinics growth from one office to three offices at three separate locations. She formed many friendships throughout her career, many who rallied around her when she was diagnosed with cancer.

A work-life balance was important to Sally. She attended many events related to her children while they were in school. She enjoyed traveling on vacations between harvest seasons with her husband and kids.

She loved watching the Green Bay Packers and made many fond memories both attending games and watching them on TV. She even hosted two Super Bowl parties in the 90s when the Packers went to back-to-back Championships. Many attended the parties, where good food, drinks, company and plenty of sledding and snow-tubing took place.

Sally loved gardening, organizing parties, camping, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Sally lived a full life and left with no regrets.

Sally passed away in her beautiful home, surrounded by her children, and family and friends who had supported her throughout her journey with cancer. She now celebrates her freedom in the Kingdom of Heaven, with her husband, Ron Anding, her father, George Vissers, parents-in-law, Frederick and Ruth Anding, her sister, Joan Damie, and brother-in-law, Joe Damie.

Sally touched many lives, and many will continue to share those memories lived with her.

A Celebration of life for Sally was held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00PM noon with visitation starting at 10:00AM at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church (545 Apollo Rd) River Falls, Wisconsin.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.    Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
