Ruth Popp, age 87 of New Richmond, WI died on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond. Ruth was born the daughter of Ingeman and Anna (nee Lindstrom) Lundh on May 28, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis graduating from Edison High School, class of 1949. Following high school, Ruth attended University of Northwestern-Saint Paul graduating with a degree in Music. Throughout her life, Ruth worked many jobs. She worked as secretary, music educator, and musician. She also loved staying home and taking care of her kids. She married Lorrel Popp on August 20, 1960. Lorrel and Ruth moved multiple times; from Minnesota to Maryland and after Lorrel retired they moved to Star Prairie Township. Ruth loved playing piano, cooking, and gardening. She was a generous person who loved make people happy and loved everyone. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Lorrel; and parents, Ingeman and Anna Lundh. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Linda), Bob, Eugene (Erica); grandchildren, Victoria, William and Erik, Jacob, Nicholas, Isaac, Christine, and Josiah; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Interment was on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 10AM in New Richmond Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 11AM at First Baptist Church (341 North Shore Drive New Richmond, WI 54017). Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
