Ruth Hawkins-Snyder 07/17/2016

Ruth Ann Hawkins-Snyder, age 74 of New Richmond, WI and formerly of Star Prairie, WI, died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her home.  Ruth Ann was born the daughter of Wilmer and Marion (Annis) Pickard on July 30, 1941 in Connersville, WI.  She attended Bolon Creek School and graduated from Glenwood City High School with the class of 1959.  She was married to Ralph Hawkins.  They lived in California for a short time, then settled in Star Prairie and started a family.  Ruth Ann worked for New Richmond Industries for 25 years.  In 1982, she met David Snyder, they were married on April 5, 2001.  Ruth Ann loved to crocheted, making afghans for those she loved.  She enjoyed the beach and summer activities, and was a great grandma.  She was a loving, outgoing woman, who put others first and always greeted you with a smile.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Marion Pickard.  Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, David Snyder; children, Randy Hawkins, Rod (Linda) Hawkins, Renee Kobs; grandchildren, Joshua and Hannah Kobs, and Tyler and Emily Hawkins; great-grandson, Wyatt Neiss; and many other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Ruth Ann’s Life was held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 5- 8 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond, WI.  Interment will be on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2pm in New Haven Cemetery in Connersville, WI.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
