Ruth DuBois 11/09/2019

Ruth Ann DuBois, age 76 of New Richmond, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond after a courageous 2 ½ year battle against cancer. Ruthie, the 7th child of Roy & Myrtle Lecander, was born on May 6, 1943 on their family farm in Deer Park, WI. She married Robert Wells before divorcing and later marrying Donvie DuBois. Ruthie loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her siblings over a cup of coffee, which they did nearly every day for the past several decades. She was also a lover of all animals and the dogs and cats she had throughout her life were treated like family. Ruthie will be deeply missed by us all.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Carol Mullen and Joann Hennessy. She is survived by Donvie DuBois; her sons, Daniel (Linda) Wells, Terry (Melinda) Wells; grandchildren, Derek Wells and Michelle (Robert) Gharrity; great grandchildren, Holly and Emmy; brothers, Howard (Jan) Lecander and Peter (Donna) Lecander; sisters, Lois (Wayne) Moe, Elaine Heittman, Bonnie (Joe) Lundell; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. We would like to thank the staff of the St. Croix Health Center and Lakeview Hospice for the wonderful care she received over the last few weeks. A Celebration of Ruthie’s Life was held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 4-7 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
