Russell Strohbeen 06/25/2024

Russell R Strohbeen, age 97, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away on June 25, 2024. He was born on July 7, 1926, to Rufus and Alvina (Lutz) Strohbeen on the home farm on County Road H in Star Prairie Township. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in East Farmington Wisconsin, where he was a lifetime member. He attended Squaw Lake School and New Richmond High School.  After high school he continued to farm on the family dairy farm until the cattle we sold in 1988.  Russell married Eunice B Arten on December 30, 1959.  He married Ina Mae Jahr on March 29, 1988.

He is survived by his children, Judy and Keith (Lynette Schone); grandchildren, Amber, Mark, Ariel, Eric (Savanna), Alex (Jenna), Elizabeth (Toby); great-grandchildren, Lilly, Charles, Nevaeh, Allanah & Timothy; step-daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Bakke; step-granddaughter, Ingrid (Sam); and step-great granddaughter, Mae.

Russell is preceded in death by, his parents, Rufus and Alvina; sisters, Lucille Strohbeen, Bernice (Paul) Neidermire and Irene Holm; his wives, Eunice and Ina Mae; and granddaughter, Rikki Strohbeen.

A memorial service for Russell was at Zion Lutheran (252 Highway State 35) Osceola, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2PM with visitation starting at 12:30PM.  Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, in East Farmington, Wisconsin.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services.
