Russell Peterson 11/22/2015

Russell DeWayne Peterson, age 71 of River Falls, died on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Our House in River Falls, WI.  Russell was born the son of William and Grace (Skar) Peterson on May 10, 1944 in Rice Lake, WI.  He grew up in North Hudson.  Russell owned a gas station in Menomonie, WI, drove a delivery truck for Old Dutch, and spent 30 years in maintenance at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.  As a hobby in retirement, he hauled classic cars to places all over the United States.  Russell had a passion for cars.  He was friendly and enjoyed meeting new people.  He was a straight talker with a strong opinion and he loved to have fun.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Peterson.  Russell is survived by his children, Randy (Tammy) Peterson, Vicki (Bret) Radinzel, and Tony Peterson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 805 E Division Street River Falls, WI.  Memorial Visitation was also Saturday from 12-2 pm at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
