Russell Burley 08/29/2021

Russell Burley, age 74, died on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his home. He was born the son of Harold Burley and Jane C. Owens on September 28, 1946 in Ithaca, NY. Russell grew up in Ithaca, graduating from Ithaca High School, class of 1964. Following high school, Russell joined the US Army, in March of 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1968. After the military, he graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College. Russell worked as a machinist for a majority of his career. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid outdoorsman. Russell was hardworking, sarcastic with a sense of humor and a caretaker for everybody.
He is preceded in death by his parents; previous wife, Louise Badciong; wife, Maureen; daughter, Ann Badciong; and sister, Eilleen Lee. Russell is survived by children, Myra (Adam) Radovan, Kate (Jody Smith) Burley, Alen (Katelyn) Badciong, Russell Jr. (Leanne); grandchildren, David Mutchler Jr., Daniel Rasnick, Kayla Rasnick, Allyssa Badciong, Amber Badciong, Bryan Badciong, Ann-Marie Badciong, Jayden Badciong, Aleyna Badciong, Liam Badciong, Aoife Badciong, Kiah Walker, and Austin Burley; great-grandchildren, Aspen Marie Potts-Rasnick, Isla Rae Mass-Rasnick, and Kinsley Hummelmeier; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A memorial service was held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 7:00PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division Street) in River Falls. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    My heart is forever broken at such a loss. My forever buddy that gave me my family nickname of “Lino”. I am so blessed we were reunited by Myra and so grateful for our Saturday phone conversations. Heaven has gained another angel and I know you are looking down on us.     My heart is forever broken as well Cousin Linda. The tears haven’t stopped. I miss dad terribly. I am so gratefull & Blessed that I found you and reunited you with dad family. He loved you so much, and he enjoyed all of your Saturday conversations together. It made him so happy hearing your voice. We love you so much. Huge hugs ❤. DAD will be greatly missed.
