Roman F. Lubich age 88 of River Falls died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Kinnic Long Term Care Center. He was born the son of William and Augusta (Kroboth) Lubich on April 21, 1926 in Kinnickinnic Township. He married Ursula Jansa on June 15, 1948. Roman was a farmer and a milk and livestock hauler. He also worked at South St. Paul Feed. Roman was an active member of St. Bridget’s Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post 121. He belonged to Wisconsin Hauler’s Association and St. Croix Valley Collector’s Association. Roman enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with family and friends and dancing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roman is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ursula; sons, John (Sandy), Terry (Kris), Mike (Grace), Peter (Debbie), Tom (Rhea), Todd (Jenny Sue); daughters, Sharon (David) Andress, Karen (Ron) Johnson, Melanie (Barry) Heltne; daughter-in-law, Toni Lubich; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sister, Vicky Schorn; sister-in-law, Rhoda Lubich; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; grandson, Clinton Lubich; great grandson, Dakota Mankus; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edmund (Annabelle), William (Louise), Hartland, Frank (Frannie), Jim (Helen); sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie (Walter) Schrank, Ethel (Clarence) Kusilek; brother-in-law, Larry Schorn. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. Visitation was held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 4- 8 pm at St. Bridget’s Church and also Wednesday from 10-11 am. Interment was in St. Bridget’s Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
