Roberta McCrossen 12/23/2011

Roberta “Bobbie” (Gulickson) McCrossen age 62 of River Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 23, 2011, at United Hospital in St. Paul.  She was born the daughter of Harland and Helen (Gilbertson) Gulickson on October 24, 1949 in Grantsburg, WI.  Bobbie graduated from Barron High School in 1967 and then attended University of Wisconsin- River Falls.  She worked within the River Falls community for 22 years and recently at Blue Cross Blue Shield Minnesota in Eagan.  Bobbie enjoyed traveling to places near water and being at the lake with family and friends.  She was and avid Packer and Badger fan and liked to read and do puzzles.  She is preceded in death by her father, Harland Gulickson.  Bobbie will be missed by her daughter, Thea McCrossen of River Falls, WI; mother, Helen Gulickson of Menomonie, WI; sisters, Maxine Elaine (Karl) Tireman of Almena, WI, Mary Jo (Ron) Mrdutt of Boyceville, WI; nephews, Bruce Surbrt, Kevin Olson, James Mrdutt; nieces, Stacey Mrdutt, Lisa Olson; other relatives and friends.  A celebration of Bobbie’s life was held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls.  Visitation was also Saturday from 1:00-3:00 pm at the funeral home.  Private interment will be at a later date.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
