Robert “Bob” Norvold, age 81, of Hudson died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Red Cedar Canyon Senior Living. Bob retired from the Hudson School District after 30+ years. A job he loved, especially because of the people working there and the relationships that were made. Bob loved to keep busy, he would refinish furniture and antiques in his spare time. But his real love was for old cars. Robert, and his son, Paul took annual trips to the Iola Old Car Show. Robert, affectionately, referred to this trip as “the annual pilgrimage to the holy land.” He is preceded in death by his father, Hobart Norvold; mother, Docia St. Ores; siblings, Howard (Joyce) Norvold, Donna (Richard) Mueller, Irene Norvold; and nephew, James Norvold. Robert is survived by his son, Paul (Deb) Norvold; daughter, Andrea Oreso; grandchildren, Nicole (Eric) Simonis, Alex Kela, Delani Oreso, Taji Oreso, Jabari Oreso; great-grandchildren, Blake and Grady Simonis; former spouse, Patricia Norvold; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. A memorial service was held, on Bob’s birthday, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Bethel Highlands (504 Frontage Road) in Hudson. Visitation was also be Saturday from 1-3 pm at the church.
