Robert Auchampach 03/27/2021

Robert “Bob” Mervin Auchampach, age 76, of River Falls, WI, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Comforts of Home in River Falls. Bob was born the son of Mervin and Inez (Gutting) Auchampach on February 1, 1945 in River Falls, WI, and grew up in Ellsworth, WI, graduating from Ellsworth High School. After high school, Bob served his country in the Army and worked as a machinist, retiring from SOS Spring Valley, Inc., after having spent the last 18 years of his career there. As an outdoorsman Bob enjoyed fishing, rock collecting, and butterfly hunting. He had a large variety of rock and agate collections and butterfly display boards that he loved to show and talk about with enthusiasm. When he wasn’t outdoors, Bob liked to read and research. He had a passion for music, dabbled in playing the guitar, and studied choruses of songs he loved along with researching the artists. Since a child Bob loved going to the Pierce County Fair and never missed a summer there. After his kids were grown and no longer wanted to go with dad, he took the grandchildren. Bob was a proud father and grandfather, and loved telling anyone he met about is grand and great grandchildren. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and his witty sense of humor. Bob is survived by his wife, Elaine Auchampach; children, Rachel Auchampach, Robin Anderson, Phil (Nicky) Auchampach, Kimberly (Charles Lindstrom) Drexl, Vicki Bilek, Jeff Auchampach; grandchildren, Amber, Logan, Kelly, Tracey, Dylan, Arianna, Paige, Tre, Douglas, Shyanne, Dominic, Addison, Olivia, Mason; great-grandchildren, Perry, Helen, Gunner, Keith, Angel, Millenium; siblings, Nancy (Steve) Carol, Bill (Janet) Auchampach, Richard (Julie) Auchampach; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Inez Auchampach; sister, Marlene Spencer; brother, David Auchampach; and former wife Diane Johnson, mother to Rachel, Robin, and Phillip. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church 211 E Division Street River Falls, WI and streamed live through the link just below this obituary.
