We have all lost a great friend and person. ….he was the one who could do like everything. Glad I got to talk to him a few days ago…fly high ….
Great guy, always had something smart to say. What an honor to know Rick. He will definitely be missed but never forgotten. So many memories of him coaching hockey.
God please watch over and comfort Cindy and Shelby as they navigate through the days ahead.
God Bless, Dan Fitzgerald

So sorry. Rick you always made me smile! Rock On!
A wonderful person you never knew what he was going to say next but always clever comment one of a kind!
I always looked up to Rick, from the time I was a kid and still do. One of the coolest guys I knew. Whatever it’s on or in ride on brother!
What a fun guy to be around – Rick was always looking to pull a stunt on someone, big smile on his face – and that familiar laugh. Will miss the guy. RIP Rick.
Best neighbor anyone could ever have. Humorous, thoughtful, and hard working. In the winter, he would take his 4 wheeler and plow out everyone’s driveways. We lost a great guy. Rest in peace my friend.
Rick was great guy I could blow snow better them working for Cory. Will be missed.
Love & light to the family and friends who knew him best. I only knew Ricky as a very young girl growing up in Bayport. Us local preadolescent girls would chase him around town relentlessly as if he was our very own Teen Beat hearth-throb. He came and talked to me one day while I was loitering on the sidewalk out in front of his home. He was so kind and considerate of that little girl just beginning to understand what boys are. He could have responded in other ways, but he chose to be a good human. I am now 58 years old and have never forgot that. From the comments above it is clear he never lost that goodness. RIP to you Ricky. You are a part of everyone you touched including that little girl!
Cindy & Shelby, No words can bring Rick back, but knowing he is free from pain, I hope it brings some peace and comfort to both of you. Rick had touched so many lives and his kindness and laughter will live on forever! Hugs to both of you! RIP my friend!
So very sorry for your loss, I had hoped to come to Ricky’s Celebration but jury duty intervened..rest in peace Ricky Melby.
