Richard “Dick” K. Olson
April 1, 1944 – March 1, 2020

Born to Charles & Elsie Olson.  He grew up on dairy farms and helped his father and uncle (Ray) picking up milk at various farms; first, with milk cans, later in the bulk truck.  Richard graduated from New Richmond in 1963.  He worked 20 years for Murphy Motor Freight and raised a family.  In 1983, Richard started Olson Sanitation where he worked tirelessly for the rest of his life.  He believed in buying “made in the U.S.A.” and supporting local businesses.  He loved animals, especially customers dogs, whom he gave treats to regularly.

Preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Ron, sister Lona and brother Chuck.  Survived by 3 sons ( Steve, Dan, and Randy), brother Brian (Cindy), grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
