Richard Mullen 11/08/2020

Richard “Dick” Mullen, age 81 of New Richmond, died Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. He was born the son of Sig and Fern Mullen on October 29, 1939 in New Richmond. Dick grew up in New Richmond attending New Richmond High School, class of 1957. Following graduation, Dick worked in Stillwater at UFE in customer service. He married Judy Schaar on June 22, 1963 in Zion Lutheran Church in East Farmington, WI. He and Judy were married 57 years. Dick was an avid golfer and a perfectionist with his landscaping. He was a member of the Kwanis club and president of Zion Lutheran Church for eight years. Dick was kind, gentle, wonderful man who cared for his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sig and Fern; daughter, Jody; and sister-in-law, Carol. He is survived by his wife, Judy; siblings, Roger, Bob (Gert), Kay (Jack) Carroll, Jackie (Doug) Stohlberg, Sandy (Tom) Wells, Ron (Cheryl); and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A memorial service was held Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00AM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S. Knowles Ave) in New Richmond with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in East Farmington, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    So sorry to hear of Dicks passing. Kiwanis will miss him very much. He was my favorite Kiwanis Vikings fan! SKOL – Vikings won a big one for you yesterday buddy!

    Oh Judy, I am so sad to learn of Dicks passing. We sure have had a good friendship all these years. I’m sure Ric will be very sad also. He really thought a lot of Dick. I would love to see you. Maybe if you come to town, we could have coffee. Love Dee Quist.
