Richard Krampert 10/05/2013

Richard H. “Dick” Krampert, 73, of Sand Lake, Dresser, WI and formerly of New Richmond passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at the Golden Age Manor in Amery.  He was born the son of Ludvig and Myrtle (Jensen) Krampert on March 15, 1940 in Stanton Township, WI.  Dick was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer, which included custom work for area farmers.  He retired in 2002 to Sand Lake near Dresser.  He could fix anything and was fond of building and re-building motors, along with tractor pulling.  His other hobbies included fishing, snowmobiling and watching NACAR.  In later years, he took up snow skiing, but always loved water skiing and teaching people to water ski.  In retirement, Dick enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be missed by his wife, Janet; children, Brenda (Jeff) McIntyre of Somerset, Steven (Debbie) Krampert of New Richmond; grandchildren, Levi (Laura) Krampert of Mountain Iron, MN, Alicia Krampert of New Richmond, Kristine McIntyre of Somerset; sister, Ramona (Paul) Frey of New Brighton, MN; brother-in-law, Curtis (Darla) Stene of Rosemount, MN; nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and cousins.  Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Ludvig and Myrtle; and brother, Karl Krampert.  A memorial service was held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Saturday from 10-12 at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of New Richmond.
