Richard Chevrier 09/22/2017

Richard James Chevrier, age 77 of New Richmond, WI, died Friday, September 22, 2017 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  Richard was born the son of Leo and Bertha (Frankwick) Chevrier on May 10, 1940 in La Crosse, WI.  He graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1959.  Richard served in Navy after high school.  He was a strong willed man with a great sense of humor, who loved to tell stories.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watchin TV.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Bertha Chevrier; an infant son; sister, Sharon Larson; and former wife, Diane Chevrier.  Richard is survived by his children, Lori (Tom) Lancaster, Lisa Chevrier, and Jason Sampair; grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Chevrier, Katie Chevrier, Liz Lancaster, Tommy Stuart, Samantha Lancaster, Samantha Sampair, Dylan Sampair, Luke Sampair; great-grandchildren, Lillyana Chevrier, Rilei Sampair; siblings, Fr. Michael Frankwick, Ruth Stuart, Roger (Carol) Chevrier, George (Sandy) Chevrier, Dennis (Joyce) Chevrier, Lois Chevrier, James Chevrier; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 3-6 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond followed by a memory sharing service at 6 pm.  Military Honors were provided by the American Legion Butler-Harmon Post 80 of New Richmond.   Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
