Preston Michael Anderson, age 17, of Hudson died Monday, September 30, 2019 at his home. He was born the son to Ryan Anderson and Angela Potting on January 10, 2002 in Stillwater, MN. Preston attended Hudson High School. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and time spent with family. Preston was considered an animal lover. He loved his dog, a German Shepherd born on the 4th of July, that he named “Patriot”. Preston is remembered by his family as a very generous, extremely sweet, happy person. He was in a trap shooting club and was beginning MMA. He is survived by his mother, Angela (Mike King) Potting; father, Ryan (Amanda) Anderson; siblings, Tyler (Danielle Weinberger) Myer, Trace Anderson, Brennen Anderson, William Anderson, Justin King, Nicole (Lucas Wilberg) King; grandparents, Greg and Gloria Anderson, Charles Potting, Sr.; Burt and Kathy King; great-grandma, Harriet Anderson; aunts and uncles, Amy (Dave) Thorsen, Ross (Teresa Vanasse) Anderson, Josh (Renee) Neisinger, Ronda (Toby Roatch) Anderson, Rachel (Jeff) Schultz, Renita Christner, Charles Potting, II, Trenna (Jim) Luddens, Frank (Michelle) Aguirre, Chris Cline; his German Shepherd, Patriot; and many other relatives. Preston was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosemary Shay; great-grandparents, Bruce and Selma Shay, Billy Anderson; Elmer and Mabel Hannack; and great uncle, Jeff Anderson. A funeral service was held Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church (1250 Broadway Street) in Hammond. Visitation was also Saturday beginning at 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service. In remembrance of Preston please wear sweatshirts, blue jeans and a cowboy hat (if you have one).
