Pearl Anderson 12/29/2017

Pearl A. Anderson, age 89, died on Friday, December 29, 2017 at River Falls, Comforts of Home surrounded by the love of her family, her friends, and the caring staff that looked after her. Pearl was born on July 9th, 1928 in Glenwood City, Wisconsin to Louis and Pearl Krumm. She was raised on a family farm where her love of animals flourished. It was there she learned to love photography and capture life’s precious moments. After graduating from Somerset High, Pearl went on to work at Swifts where she put in 22 years packaging meat as an active member in AFL-CIO Union. When the facility closed, she switched jobs and eventually relocated to Smead to put in another 20 plus years of service until retiring in 1993. On August 26th, 1950, she married the love of her life, Richard S. Anderson at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. Together, they had three sons. Pearl and Richard enjoyed camping with their family, fishing for panfish, and worshiping at the Lutheran Church. Pearl’s special interests included being an avid collector of many treasures, raising her family through children and grandchildren, being a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and caring for God’s creations through planting and gardening. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Richard S. Anderson, her step-son, Harlan (Jan), her siblings, Muriel (Chuck), Leslie (Josephine), Curvin (Ann), Avis (Arnold), Glen (Bonnie). She is survived by her three sons, Reggie (Paula), Barry (Kathy), and Kevin (Barb) and step-daughter Garnett (John). She is survived by her grandchildren, Mandy (Charles), Autumn, Kurtis (Maggie), Kyle (Lindsey), Krystal (John), Jack, Kelleen, and many great-grandchildren: sister, Delores (Gary); and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at 11am at Servant of the Shepherd Church, 103 N. 4th St., River Falls, WI. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellsworth.
