Andrew “Andy” Brown
It is with a sad heart that we announce that Andrew (Andy) Brown, 56, passed away at The Estates at Linden on April 22, 2026. He was born on May 2, 1969 in Stillwater, MN to the late Dr. Robert and Janet Brown.
He graduated from Stillwater High School and earned his business degree from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN. His business degree led him to work as a mortgage consultant.
Andy was a devoted father to Colton (Ciara) and Gracelyn (Andrew), and he was a loyal friend to many.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Brown, children Colton (Ciara) Brown and Gracelyn (Andrew) Brown , sister, Linda (Jim) Richie, brothers, Tony Brown, Danny (Lisa) Brown, Mike (Rebecca) Brown, step-mother, Jackie Brown, former wife and good friend of the deceased, Taunya Donahue, and numerous relatives, and friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Brown.
Above all, Andy cherished his role as a father to Colton and Gracelyn. They shared many an adventure while traveling. A favorite spot was Aruba.
Andy had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Andy found great joy in fishing. He was always ready to go out and “cast a line”.
He had a passion for music. In his younger years he played drums with his band Harvey and the Snoozers. He created many memories with family and friends. Andy enjoyed going with friends to hear live music all around the Twin Cities. He also enjoyed going to the Wild and Twins games.
A celebration of life will occur on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Somerset American Legion from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite organization. In Andy’s honor, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness in his memory.
Andy’s kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, and all who knew him.

A big loss for all who knew him. What a completely wonderful, smart, funny, talented guy. We miss you, Andy.
Andy was one of the good ones. It’s a shame we didn’t get to seem as an old man. I’m grateful to have been his friend and band mate. He was my favorite drummer. Love to his family.
