Norman V. Holt, age 85 of Bay City, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, May 27, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Ellsworth, WI. Norman was born the son of Vernon and Mathilda (Kaempf) Holt on August 9, 1930 in Chehalis, WA. He did his military service in the Army Reserves. He was employed by S.B. Foot Tanning Co. and served as Pastor of Forest Home Community Church. Norman was married to Flora Mattson on November 30, 1962 at the Pepin Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Mathilda Holt; brother, Eldon Holt; and sisters, Edith Hanson and Doris Mogus. Norman is survived by his wife, Flora Holt of Bay City, WI; children, Cindy (Michael) Becker of Hager City, WI and James Holt of Red Wing, Mn; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Clyde Holt of Maiden Rock, WI, Marshall (Sherry) Holt of Maiden Rock, WI, Inez (Lyle) Ross of Hager City, WI, Lois Andrews of Maiden Rock, WI, and Dorothy (Larry) Alkire of Pioneer, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Norm was a devoted Christian. He loved the Lord Jesus and his greatest desire was for others to know and love Him too. He lived a life of gratitude and sharing. A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2 pm at New Life in Christ Church 1080 7th Avenue Baldwin, WI. Visitation was also Wednesday from 1-2 pm at the church. Interment was in the Maiden Rock Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock.
