Norman Halberg 12/25/2013

Norman E. Halberg, age 82 of Somerset, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN surrounded by his family.  Norman was a former employee of Linds Shoe Factory in Somerset, Whirlpool Corporation in St. Paul, and Connelly Shoe Factory in Stillwater.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Ednard and Clara Halberg; son, Ron Halberg; sisters, Myrtle Wettig and Edith Newville Linder.  Norman is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Halberg; children, Kenneth Halberg, Doug (Sue Meyers) Halberg, Charlene (Mark Christensen) Ertle, Renee Richert; grandchildren, Benjamin (Jamie) Halberg, Sara (Kyle Olson) Halberg, Jason Richert, Justin (Kimberly) Richert, Joshua (Angel) Ertle, Melinda (Ryan) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Hannah Levitz, Abbigail Johnson, Sophia Halberg, Jessica Richert; daughter-in-law, Janet Halberg; sister, Catherine Marquand; brother, Floyd (Brenda) Halberg; sisters-in-law, Delores Godfrey, Vicki Yeager, Amy Yeager; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A Funeral Service was held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church 510 Germain Street Somerset, WI.  Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 3-6 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond, WI and on Monday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Star Prairie, WI.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
