Nola Jo Janicki, age 11 of River Falls, WI passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. Nola was born on June 26, 2006 in Duluth, MN. She attended Westside Elementary School and Meyer Middle School and was an excellent student. Nola had a wonderful imagination, liked to read and told fantastic stories. She was a gifted artist, especially drawing. Nola enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and being outdoors. Nola loved all animals; from cats and dogs to lizards and bugs. Nola was a unique and special young woman. She was loving and kind and was often silly and goofy.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Janis Kolstad; and great-grandfather, Raymond Dodge. Nola is survived by her parents, Brad and Jenna Janicki; grandparents, Rob (Laura) Janicki, Dawn (Tom) Carlsgaard, Martha Dodge; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Covenant Church (1374 North Main Street) in River Falls. Visitation was also Saturday from 12:00-2:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.

Our thoughts and care are with you all in this time. There are so many hoping and praying that you feel and know the love and support that is for you in this time. And our prayers will be with and for you too in the days ahead.
Heaven gained another Angel. No more sadness or pain. Love and peace to the family. As we all struggle to understand why we are still here. There are more and more families that have to go through losing their children to this world. Life is never fair.
You are in my thoughts and prayers as you travel this difficult path. I treasure my memories of Nola when she was at Westside.

i miss nola with all my heart i am so sorry u had to go thru that my nick name is kiki hers was no no i miss her and i will never stop missing her me and her were allways being goofy and laughing at each others jokes eve if they were horrible she is my best friend and NO ONE will replace her im thinking of u all the time Keelyn
I have not stopped thinking of her and I miss her immensely and hope that she well be remembered by her friends till the end. I miss you Nola and hope your happy.
