Nina Rostorfer 12/21/2023

Nina M. Rostorfer – 88, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, from injuries sustained in a fall. She was born on March 9, 1935, to parents Walter and Emily V. (Brill) Hughes.
Nina was a farmer most of her life. She also worked outside the home in various positions, including cook for Benjamin Logan High School, temporary employee for Honda Anna Plant, and parts runner for Napa Auto Parts. She was also a founding member of the Ohio Wagon Train Association.
Nina had a love for animals and flowers. She owned several horses over the years and won ribbons with saddle horses and blankets with racehorses. She had several dogs including her last fur baby Rowdy, that she took on walks every day. Nina always had flowers and had her own display rack, where she watered and tended to them every day.
Nina was the middle child of 5 girls. Her parents and 3 sisters, Grace, LaDonna, and Diane preceded her in death, as well as her spouse, Donald Rostorfer. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Brill (Timothy) Wiant, of River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Molly AW (Kelly) Cummins of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jesse W (Vanessa Vander Vorst) Wiant of Hutchinson, MN. Great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Natalie Cummins of Ft. Worth, TX, and Emma, Avery, Jameson, Tyson, and Waylon Wiant of Hutchinson, MN. Her remaining sister, Linda Peart of Bessemer, AL.
Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services are handling the arrangements. An open house is being planned for a later date. Interment will be in Harper Cemetery, Rushsylvania, OH, at a later date.
